Mosque of Gorjomi

  1. The Mosque of Gorjomi was built in 1902 by the dwellers. It was closed as Georgia became one of the part of The Soviet Union in 1921. The mosque was used as a museum and sometimes as a depo(unfortunately) during the Soviet Union period.
In 1989, a couple of years before the collapse of The Soviet Union the mosque was revitalized and reopened again by the dwellers of Gorjomi.
I was born and lived my very first and memorable 10 years in this village and still live in there mentally. I strongly appreciate your remarkable work my dear Tako. I thank you wholeheartedly. You brought me to my home via those impressive photos. All of your photos are really professional and awesome Tako. Thank you...
